About Summit Christian Hybrid School

Summit Christian Philosophy

We are committed to keeping student/teacher ratio low so that learner needs can stay in focus.

Summit Christian School aims to create a dynamic space where education is engaging and individualized and a learner-centered educational program enables students to grow and thrive. We are excited about partnering with parents to create transformative educational experiences!

Vision & Mission Statement

Summit Christian School provides a unique educational model with learner-centered collaboration between the home and school. We provide a learner-centered educational program that enables all children to thrive and fulfill their potential by honoring each child as a unique, valuable individual. We do this by creating an experiential, multi-sensory learning environment, working with parents to create learner profiles for each student,  and empowering parents to maintain ultimate control over their child’s education.

What We Believe

Summit Christian School provides students with excellent educational experiences in a Christian community. We believe our faith in God should inform every part of our lives, including our education. Biblical concepts are woven throughout each class, and we aim to disciple believers towards a strong faith in Christ, as well as prepare them to share that faith with others.

All faculty and staff members are Christians, although we do not identify with a single denomination or affiliation. The Bible is our guide, and Biblical principles and concepts, as well as a Christian worldview will be shared in all classes.

“Gracious speech is like clover honey- good taste to the soul, quick energy for the body.”

— Proverbs 16:24

What is Learner-Centered Education?

Most schools create a system and ask students to fit into that system. Learner-centered programs provide flexibility to customize learning experiences for each student. Summit Christian Schools will do this by:

  • Partnering with local specialists to provide discounted screening for common learning differences as desired by parents;

  • Working with parents to create learner profiles for each student, which will include learning style preferences and multiple intelligence identification;

  • Providing multiple instructional and assessment methods to benefit various learning styles and differences;

  • Encouraging parents to choose the core curriculum that works best for their child at the elementary level. We will provide support, enrichment, and opportunities to apply knowledge, while parents maintain control.
